Dr. Jonathan Gryak is the Research Manager of the Biomedical & Clinical Informatics Lab and a Lecturer III in the Department of Computational Medicine & Bioinformatics at the University of Michigan. He earned his PhD and MPhil in Computer Science from the City University of New York, a MS in Mathematics from Fairfield University, and a dual BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Gryak has worked for both private and public entities as a network engineering and cybersecurity consultant, and was previously the Infrastructure Manager of the Westport Public Schools in Westport, CT.
Dr. Gryak's research interests are broadly within theoretical computer science, with a focus on machine learning, cryptography, and computational group theory, and well as computational medicine and computer networking/network security.
