Palavi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2016. She now is attending University of Toledo College of Medicine as a 2nd year. She is involved with the American Medical Association and volunteers for the local free clinic. She also finds time to scribe in the emergency department at the medical center. With her biomedical engineering degree, Palavi worked at Amway Global for their research and development department. She was with their advanced technology group exploring noninvasive measurement options for vascular health. She is involved with Dr. Najarian’s lab through the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease Foundation.
