Dr. Gang Liu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Biomedical & Clinical Informatics Lab. He received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from University of South Florida in 2015. He is a data scientist, mathematical modeler and statistician with a solid background in statistics, mathematics and physics. His areas of expertise include complex systems modeling and control, big data analytics for large-scale systems, biomedical and healthcare informatics, image analysis and signal processing, quality engineering and applied statistics.
Prior to joining in Kayvan Najarian’s Lab in the University of Michigan, he worked as a research scientist at Arbor Research Collaborative for Health where he worked on projects involving process modeling, biomarker identification, disease prognostics, biostatistics and cluster analysis.
