Alessandra Serrano Marroquin

Master's Student

Alessandra is a Master’s student in the Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics at the University of Michigan, with a background in gene regulation and clinical genetics. Prior to joining the lab, she worked as a genetic counseling assistant and served as a Scientific Program Analyst at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). Her research applies machine learning to predict stroke outcomes from EHR and imaging data, with a focus on model generalizability. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to new cities, trying new cafes, and playing video games.
