Brahmajee Nallamothu

Dr. Nallamothu is a cardiologist whose health services research interests lie in examining cardiovascular outcomes, where he focuses on exploring how to improve the delivery and quality of specialized cardiovascular procedures in large patient populations. His research is focused on population-based studies that incorporate the use of large claims data and clinical registries to understand optimal patterns of cardiovascular care delivery. He has worked extensively in the area of heart attack care and sudden cardiac death, as well as on dissemination of specialized cardiac technologies and services. More specifically, Dr. Nallamothu’s research interests focus on issues surrounding the use of coronary angioplasty and stenting in acute myocardial infarction, and the care of patients with cardiac arrests, areas with direct implications for critical care medicine. As leader of IHPI’s Data & Methods Hub, Dr. Nallamothu is also a member of IHPI’s Institute Leadership Team (ILT).
