Master's Student
Haripreeth is a master's student in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan, where his research focuses on machine learning for health and scientific decision-making. He received his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology in India, where he published research on medical image segmentation. Before coming to Michigan he worked in industry building agentic and generative AI systems for healthcare and life sciences. His work moves across the modeling stack, from agentic systems and generative models to representation learning and causal forecasting, and he is drawn to problems where the data is scarce, messy, or changing underneath the model. What drives him is research that actually reaches people: he cares as much about turning models into tools clinicians and users can rely on as about the methods behind them. Outside the lab, Haripreeth is usually exploring somewhere new with a camera, stargazing, or going down a midnight rabbit hole on something entirely unrelated to his research.
