After completing his PhD developing OTTO-FM—a semi-automated clinical decision support system for pediatric fluid management following congenital heart surgery, built on a novel, white-box AI/ML architecture—Matt is now working with Dr. Daniel Ehrmann to commercialize this technology through integration with market-leading infusion pump interoperability infrastructure and FDA-prescribed preclinical and clinical testing. Matt is a co-inventor of two pending US patents, including a generative AI method for biological drug property optimization. Currently, Matt is based in Evanston, Illinois with his wife Kaity and newborn son Jack while Kaity completes her PhD in Philosophy at Northwestern University.
